Five Systems to Review This Year

Auditing Your Systems Can Increase Your Profitability And  Save You Time

I love new beginnings. Whether it's a new day, a new week or a new year, I like the feeling of a clean slate and new mercies.
It's a great time to audit where you are, where you want to go, and what it will take to get there!
​Here are a few things you might want to consider as you start the new year:

• Financial Audit of your Tools

List out all the tools you are paying for every year and then review for use, overlap, or too many access points (Most require payment based on how many employees have access to the product.). While it might not save you a large dollar amount, the savings will add up in money, time, and mental energy.

• Contracts

This is something I will be doing in the very near future. Does your contract need updated to include the appropriate clauses for things such as returns, chargebacks, or copyrights? Does it clearly define your scope of work (-boundaries!) so that neither you or your client experience confusion or frustration further into your year? This is also a great time to look at your packages and pricing!

• Time Audit

Do you have emails you no longer read? Organize your inbox and/or files (desktop, Drive, etc). Are there any commitments you have made that no longer serve you? Things like this creep up on you and can stack up before you know it!

• Social Media Audit

Is your Facebook or Instagram setup so that you are getting the most out of it? Does your Facebook page or cover need a refresh? Or maybe you need to create an Instagram page so that you have one central location to send people to find everything you have to offer (hint: make it a website page so that you get the benefit of the traffic to your site)

• Website Audit

While this should probably be done more often than once a year - or whenever you think of it!- if you don't already have it on your schedule, now is a good time to make sure that your information is current, your branding is on point, and all your links are working correctly.
